This bike features a massive 15kg solid steel flywheel, fully adjustable to suit your level of resistance. It is very sensitive so you really can set this to your perfect level. The deep padded seat is fully adjustable up, down, forwards, backwards, and tilt, and the handlebars are also adjustable up and down. You will be able to set this bike up to give you the perfect cycling experience. The computer monitor displays Time, Distance, Speed, Calories, and Pulse. There are pulse sensors built into the handles, so you can get a good reading of how hard you are working. The handles also have built in arm/elbow rests to allow you to get a true "racing" position. This new model also now features double direction pedalling action (so you could go backwards if desired), and also an emergency stop lever. There are built in wheels to the front lower bar, making it easier to move around if you need. Good value for money. However, the bike is extremely noisy as if something is not fitted properly.
After looking at JLL ,York and Body max ,The SB500 got my vote. So pleased with the purchase of this well built smooth and fully adjustable bike. A excellent all rounder at a bargain price. Fairly easy to build though pictures on instructions are tiny. Bike spins well though the seat is a little squeaky. I've bought a padded seat cover to aid log rides
Firstly, I would like to praise the XS Sports for their fast and efficient delivery and no fuss replacement of a broken part on the bike. I really thought I would have to wait weeks but the new part came the next day! Really excellent customer service and a company that can be trusted - well done!
The bike itself is good value for money. It is not the top performance bike you may use in a spin class but it has a good range of adjustments to seat and handle bars; the gears give plenty of variance in resistance and the saddle is reasonably comfortable. I miss not having the RPM or gear level displayed but you can use the speed as an indicator of performance. It is a little wobbly in the handlebars despite being tightly screwed, but on the whole, is so much cheaper than other bikes and gives a good ride for the price.
Item arrived by overnight courier at no extra cost. Build quality appears to be very good. Seat is fully adjustable and is fine for me at 6' 1'' and my wife who is 5' 4''. So far, very pleased with product and service from XS Sports.
